Gələn il UEFA AVRO 2020 oyunlarının keçiriləcəyi möhtəşəm Bakı Olimpiya Stadionu hazırda Avropa klub futbolunun nəhəng tədbirlərindən birinə ev sahibliyi edir və biz hamımız bu qitədəki klub futbolunun imkanlarını önə çəkmiş növbəti mükəmməl UEFA Avropa Liqası kampaniyasının final oyununu səbirsizliklə gözləyirik.
Ötən bir neçə ay ərzində davam etmiş bu turnir azarkeşləri və tamaşaçıları çox əyləndirmişdi. Dramatik və gərgin mübarizə şəraitində keçən çoxsaylı matçlardan sonra əsas titul uğrunda mübarizəni iki komanda aparacaq və onların Bakı finalında iştirakı hər iki komandanın yüksək səviyyəsinin göstəricisidir.
I am delighted to welcome you to the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League final. We are privileged to come to Azerbaijan and its capital Baku for an occasion that promises excitement for football fans everywhere.
The magnificent Baku Olympic Stadium – which will stage UEFA EURO 2020 matches next year – provides the setting for one of European club football’s great events, and we are all looking forward to the finale to another excellent UEFA Europa League campaign that has highlighted the calibre of the club game on this continent.
Fans and observers have thrilled to the entertainment on display over the past few months. After countless dramatic and hard-fought matches, Chelsea and Arsenal are left in the running for the title – and their presence in Baku is tribute to their considerable qualities.
The UEFA Europa League has become a competition with a unique appeal of its own. The city and people of Baku and Azerbaijan are relishing the chance to welcome everyone, and the two teams’ fans will help create a vibrant, unforgettable atmosphere.
Finally, I would like to thank the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan and its president Rovnag Abdullayev for hosting the final. The best of luck to both sides for a game that I hope will be marked by the true spirit of respect and fair play.
